At Fostering Diverse Communities Canada, we truly believe that diversity is a strength, equity is the way, and inclusion is the objective. Our not-so-simple goal is to create a society where everyone feels valued, respected, and included, regardless of their background, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, country of origin, religion, ability, or any other difference.
Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) are not just buzzwords for us – they are the very fabric of who we are. We celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and traditions that make up the beautiful mosaic of Canada in our many multicultural communities across this great land – Turtle Island. Whether you're a proud Indigenous person, a newcomer to this land, or a descendant of newcomers past, Fostering Diverse Communities Canada is here to embrace you with open arms and open minds.
But our work doesn't stop at celebration; it can’t. It extends into action. We are passionate about promoting equity and inclusion in all aspects of society, from workplaces and schools to communities and beyond.
Through strategic planning, education, and community and employee engagement, we strive to build capacity to create more welcoming and inclusive communities and organizations – to collaboratively tear down barriers and build bridges that connect people from all walks of life.

At Fostering Diverse Communities Canada, we recognize that we live, work, and engage with communities across many traditional and treaty territories of Indigenous Peoples. We acknowledge the ancestral lands of the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit, who have cared for these lands since time immemorial.
As an organization dedicated to fostering inclusion, equity, and intercultural understanding, we honour the treaties made on these lands and recognize our responsibilities as guests and allies.
